소소한 행복 소소한 운

1. A cup of warm stew (된장 찌개) and hot coffee or ginger-lemon-honey tea in a thermos, thoughtfully prepared by wonderful friends after a winter swim :)

2. Alway thought raspberries -- like all other berries -- were sour, but... they are s.w.e.e.t! Officially my new favourite berry.

3. Walks with friends - whether in the bog, or just the loop near my house.

4. Meeting new friends -- people who can challenge my preconceptions of certain nationalities + gender, and getting to re-discover Tallinn as a tourist with fun company :)

5. Good food... Twice! At Rataskaevu 16 and then again for Tallinn Restaurant Week at Scheeli.

6. Learning Estonian and trying to use it on the tram last night to communicate with my Turkish classmate, who doesn't speak English, and her two little boys. XD Or attempting to communicate with kind-looking old ladies while I help them bag their groceries. That was fun.

---

It's been 11 weeks since the accident, with so many ups and downs -- mentally, emotionally, and physically. Through it all, I can only say that I am so, so, so fortunate in many small -- or maybe they are big? who's to know and judge -- ways. From having the Rimi Delivery plan offer at that time, to how work and work friends have responded and helped, to having friends who come over for dinner or whom I can visit on their holiday in Pärnu, to friends who deliver their 'garden' produce and keep me well-fed, to those who lend me a guitar and take me winter swimming, to old friends who suddenly reach out because they had a feeling or those who keep me entertained by introducing new shows, and even new friends who help me spend time outside recovering and re-discovering my new home city when my usual friend is away.

Pure gratitude.
